Shane Doan: The Longest-Serving Captain
Shane Doan is the Arizona Coyotes franchise leader in games played, goals, assists, and points. He captained the team for a total of nine seasons, making him the longest-serving captain in Coyotes history. Doan retired from the NHL in 2017 and was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2022.
Clayton Keller: The Current Captain
Clayton Keller was named captain of the Arizona Coyotes in 2022. He is the youngest captain in franchise history and is considered one of the most promising young players in the NHL. Keller has represented the United States at the world juniors and senior levels, and helped the Americans win a gold medal at the 2018 IIHF World Championship.
